Private betting process
When you place a bet on Flew, your position remains encrypted on-chain. This is powered by Arcium’s Confidential Computing.Step 1: Select your market
Browse the active markets on the Flew dashboard and select the one you’re interested in.Step 2: Choose your side
Predict the outcome of the market question:- “Yes”: You believe the event will happen.
- “No”: You believe the event will not happen.
Step 3: Enter your bet amount
Input the amount of SOL you’d like to bet.Step 4: Confirm your position
- Review the current odds (derived from the encrypted market state).
- Click “Place Private Bet”.
- Sign the transaction in your Solana wallet (external wallet or your Flew embedded wallet, depending on how you signed in).
What happens behind the scenes?
- Encryption: Your bet (side and amount) is encrypted on your local machine before being sent to the Solana blockchain.
- Confidential Computing: Arcium’s network of nodes processes your bet within a secure enclave, updating the market’s global state without revealing your individual bet.
- LP Fees: A small percentage of your bet is allocated to the market’s LP fee pool, which rewards the market creator for providing initial liquidity.
Managing your positions
You can view all your active and resolved positions in the “My Positions” tab.- During the Market: You can see your own positions (decrypted locally for you), but other users cannot.
- After Resolution: Once the market resolves, you can claim your winnings or refunds (if applicable) directly from the dashboard.
Keep a small SOL balance for transaction fees on Solana and Arcium.
