# Browse events

> Find related markets grouped under a shared event.

An event groups related prediction markets under one title, description, and cover image. You take positions on the individual markets inside an event, not on the event itself.

## Open the Events page

Select **Events** from the Flew navigation. The page can show active, closed, and archived event records returned by Flew.

Each event card displays:

* Cover image or generated color background
* Event title and description
* Event status
* Creation date

## Event statuses

| Status       | Meaning                                                                         |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Active**   | The event is currently presented as active                                      |
| **Closed**   | The event container is closed, while its markets retain their individual states |
| **Archived** | The event is retained as historical content                                     |

An event's status does not determine whether a specific market accepts positions. Always check the status and closing time on the individual market.

## Browse markets in an event

Open an event card to see its markets. You can filter them by lifecycle status, including:

* Active
* Awaiting resolution
* Refunds available
* Resolved
* Expired

Each market follows its own closing, resolution, claim, and refund deadlines.

## Take a position

Open a market from the event, review its question and deadlines, then follow [Place a position](/guides/place-bet).

Positions in event markets support the same actions as other markets:

* Early exit before closing, when eligible
* Payout claims after a winning resolution
* Refund claims if the resolution deadline is missed

  Events are off-chain organizational records. Position settlement is enforced
  by each market's Solana account and is not controlled by the event status.
